Welcome to America, Where Free Speech Died

Today a 5 person panel voted on net-neutrality. 3-2. Read here about it. Who were these five with this power? Congressmen? Senators? No. Five un-elected bureaucrats voted to regulate the internet in the U.S. They argue against business monopoly of the web. We already have anti-monopoly laws.  As a firm believer of uninhibited free speech, I see this as another chain on America’s population. It opens the door for more. Already the Federal Government is seizing and shutting down websites, read more here.

This is America where if someone tries to overtly take over, we have a armed populace to teach them the error of their ways. But slowly, incrementally, you could slowly steal these freedoms away, in the name of security, equality, safety. Look at guns, back in the 1700s, the citizens had the same firepower as the army. Now, since the ’30s you have to have a license and pay thousands of dollars to get the same gun as the military.

This is a agency that answers to the President(I’m not just going after Obama, I’m not fond of any of them since Jefferson or Coolidge) that isn’t accountable to the people, not really accountable to Congress when both the majority and the President are from the same party. Congress is notorious for abdicating authority away from the people to the various government agencies.  I use my “Breakdown” posts to show why I think we’re becoming a reversal of Lincoln’s words at the Gettysburg address, instead of “…and that government of the people, by the people, for the people…” we’re becoming a government over the people, by the elite, to subjugate the people. Rebellious words I know, but I back them up with facts in a majority of my posts. How the 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th Amendments are being eroded.

Remember these words?

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness.

That’s in the Declaration of Independence, and we are so far from it now. And Americans living and gone are to blame. You, me, that lady over there, we got complacent in our comfort, apathetic since we didn’t directly feel the effects. So, what are you going to do about? Me? I will never be silent, I will continue to engage in the political scene to overthrow the elite through the electoral process, educate people on real freedom and return the country to its roots.
