A few weeks back Texas got fed up, and passed a law out of the House to criminalize pat-downs and virtual strip-searches unanimously. If that doesn’t say “don’t tread on me” I don’t know what does.
The TSA screeched “How dare you question my authority!” and cried to the Dept. of Justice and Eric Holder. The Justice Department‘s U.S Attorney in Texas says they have authority through the Supremacy Clause in the Constitution.
This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in pursuance thereof; and all treaties made, or which shall be made, under the authority of the United States, shall be the supreme law of the land; and the judges in every state shall be bound thereby, anything in the constitution or laws of any state to the contrary notwithstanding.
Well that’s the Supremacy Clause, but also in the same Constitution is this…
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
This was added AFTER the Constitution was written. The Fourth Amendment. Well the bill moved to the Texas Senate with a lot of support. But that same lawyer threatened to make Texas a No-Fly Zone and cancel any flights out of Texas. A majority of the Senate folded. Sissies. They should have called them on it. Take a stand! Remember the Alamo!
If a No-Fly Zone was put up over Texas I want to know what the Feds would do with any private plane that entered Texas Airspace or took off from Texas. Shoot it down?
What is wrong with criminalizing the pat downs? If I follow their procedures and run the back of my hand against an unwilling guy’s crotch, I’m going to be eating my teeth after he knocks the crap outta me. Then maybe jail, unless I have a badge that says TSA. Then I can fondle all I want, “legally”. Then you have the scanners, high-tech peepholes. A teenage boy’s dream. If I catch some guy peeping at my fiancee, bad things will happen.
We throw people in jail for this crap! Grow some balls! You Democrats claiming that Bush was infringing civil rights!?! You were right, but Obama and your party are doing the same and escalating it! Both parties just want more control, with more laws being made all the time and none repealed.
Declare a No-Fly Zone over a country and that’s an act of war, what would our government do if Iran declared a No-Fly Zone over America?
Said it before, and I’ll say it again. Until I see a majority stand up for their liberties we will continue to live in…
